winner of the Jiří Orten Prize (a prestigious literary award for writers under the age of 30), State Prize for Literature, 2004, and most recently, he has been nominated for the prestigious Magnesia Litera award for Czech Literature in the Children´s Books category for 2007 (for the book Gabriela´s Magic World / Kouzelný svět Gabriely)
