novelist, poet, journalist 

an acclaimed Czech author, known above all for his novel Zvlčení – Romaneto o vlcích, lidech a úkazech / Growing Wild – a Tale of Mystery and Imagination about Wolves, Humans, and Phenomena; this novel was awarded the Magnesia Litera Prize for prose in 2004, and has been translated into Byelorussian and Hungarian, while Slovenian and Russian editions are in preparation 

his latest novel Na krásné modré Dřevnici / On the Beautiful Blue Dřevnice is just about to be published (October 2009)
