Original title: Báječná léta s Klausem
Exactly ten years after the publication of the novel The Wonderful Years of Lousy Living /Báječná léta pod psa, Michal Viewegh presented us with a freely developed sequel. Just like Báječná léta pod psa, this is a slightly autobiographical work of the grotesque in a melancholic tone, in which the reader is reacquainted with Kvido’s rather peculiar family and is introduced to the popular politician Václav Klaus.
Over 50,000 copies sold in the Czech Republic alone.
"The popular author’s attack on political and intellectual slyness, manipulation and practices of totalitarianism that are still used today, is much deeper than it seems at first sight. It unravels the shortfalls of society, both mental and emotional, and does this with great skill and intelligent humour."
