How is Christmas celebrated on Earth?

Which is your favourite holiday? I bet it’s Christmas!

Earth is the only planet in our Solar System with people on it. Do you know what people like to do most? To get together, to talk, and to celebrate! Different parts of the planet differ widely in their landscape, their weather, plants that grow there, and animals that live there. People’s lives and customs differ, too. Our last book about the blue planet showed how children live in different parts of the world. How about we now take a look at how children on Earth celebrate Christmas, and who brings them presents?

Alena Mornštajnová’s new book, charmingly illustrated by Mária Nerádová, will introduce children to Christmas customs and traditions, some well known, some less so. As we will see, people celebrate Christmas all over the world!
