Vendula Borůvková completed her studies at a secondary school for librarians before graduating in Dramaturgy from Brno’s Janáček Academy of Music and Performing Arts. She has worked as a dramaturg for the Brno theatres HaDivadlo and Divadlo v 7 a půl, for whose stages she has also produced several original plays. She now writes for children and creates LARPs. Her short story Chocolate the Bear / Medvěd Čokoláda was adapted for radio and broadcast by Czech Radio. Vendula Borůvková is editor-in-chief of the magazine Otazníky historie [Question Marks in History]. In 2014, her book Annie and the Berleps / Annie a berlepsové was published.
