Pavel Čech's books have been published in fourteen languages: English, German, French, Italian, Russian, Danish, Slovenian, Croatian, Persian, Slovak, Macedonian, Bulgarian, Bosnian and Polish, with the rights sold into Japan, Albania and Hungary as well.
Pavel Čech is one of the leading figures on the Czech artistic scene. He is author of over thirty books with his own illustrations, for which he has been awarded numerous domestic literary prizes.
Typical motifs of his work are native American Indians, adventure stories, winding streets and overgrown gardens. Inspired by Jules Verne and Karl May, he creates kind worlds where honour and friendship are just as important as adventure.
